Political Turmoil in Buenos Aires: Marra Expelled

The Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, arrived at Casa Rosada with her dog Thor to participate in the first Cabinet meeting of the year. This occurred hours after the expulsion of the city legislator Ramiro Marra from La Libertad Avanza, a party led by Milei.

Marra, one of the founders of La Libertad Avanza, learned of his expulsion through a social media message, as no one from the Executive Power had communicated with him beforehand. According to sources close to Milei, the legislator's departure was expected due to the breakdown in his relationship with the party leader.

The main reason for the expulsion seems to have been the inclusion of Eugenio Casielles on the libertarian list for the City Legislature. Casielles, a critic of the libertarian management, decided to break from the block led by legislator Pilar Ramírez and form his own monoblock. It is mentioned that Casielles had agreements with the city mayor, Jorge Macri.

Karina Milei ordered the communication of Marra's marginalization, arguing his support for fiscal measures opposed to those of the party. It is expected that Marra will swear allegiance to the city mayor while avoiding mentioning Milei and Ramírez.

Despite Marra's expulsion, the party president, Javier Milei, has remained silent on social media. Some supporters, such as Santiago Caputo, have backed Karina Milei's decision and the party. The tension between Marra and the party has been building since the election campaign and intensified in recent weeks.

Marra remains silent for the moment, although he is expected to speak soon.
